What is licensing of a product or brand?
Product licensing involves two parties: a licensor (Mr.Puppy) and a licensee (You). The licensor owns the rights to certain intellectual property (IP) while the licensee manufactures or distributes products using the IP granted by the licensor via a license agreement. The licensee is able to offer products that fall outside its core market and competencies to increase sales for the business.
Examples of licenses include a company using the design of a popular character, e.g. Mickey Mouse, Mr.Puppy on your products. Another example would be a clothing manufacturer like Life is Good licensing its designs and brand in a certain country to a local company.
Other examples for Mr.Puppy include childrens bedding, clothing, personal items like soap, toothpaste, watches, perfume, pet insurance cover, shoes, food items for lunch boxes, school items, books, pencil cases, bags, suitcases and the list goes on…
Tell us what product you would like to use and license with Mr.Puppy and we can put together a brief on how that can work for you. Submit your idea here…
